Tiu Kelep waterfall has been opened again
Tiu Kelep Waterfall located in Senaru Village, Bayan District, North Lombok Regency, has now been reopened after the earthquake that struck North Lombok and its surroundings two months ago. The water of Tiu Kelep and Sendang Gile is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Lombok, especially Senaru Village, Bayan District, North Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara. Tiu Kelep and Sendang Gila waterfalls which were previously closed for general tourist visits due to the impact of the Earthquake that struck North Lombok and Lombok Island in general.
Not only are Tiu Kelep and Sendang Gile Waterfall tourist destinations, but other tourist destinations around Senaru and Bayan Villages have also been reopened to the public such as rise fields, panorama walks, traditional sasak tours, ethnic tours, and etc.
Supporting facilities such as lodging accommodation, villas, hotels, transportation has also been addressed by the organizers, especially the Gunung Rinjani Lombok National Park. Thus, local and foreign tourists feel comfortable and safe to visit Senaru Village and especially Tiu Kelep Waterfall.
At present, as is known based on official information from the Gunung Rinjani National Park, it still has not opened a climb to Mount Rinjani due to safety and comfort considerations of local and foreign tourists who want to visit. Whereas in the meantime, income sources or livelihoods of local people are known to rely solely on tourism so that the opening of visits to tourist destinations in Senaru and surrounding villages such as Sendang Gile Waterfall and Tiu Kelep Waterfall and others can open up employment opportunities for the local community.
